"Ulver (Norwegian for “wolves”) is a musical group from Norway. Since their first, folklore-influenced black metal release entitled Bergtatt - Et eeventyr i 5 capitler (1994), Ulver’s musical style has been fluid and increasingly eclectic, blending genres such as avant-garde rock, trip hop, symphonic and chamber traditions, noise and experimental music, with heavy reliance on electronic recording techniques."
From Black Metal, via Trip Hop to... yeah, listen on your own.
To continue the topic from yesterday, "Don't forget where you come from", I'd like to ask you for the first and the last record you bought.
First record I wanted (but wasn't able to buy it at that age) was probably "Schlumpfenhits Vol. ?"
ReplyDeleteFirst two records I clearly remember bought from my own money were a "Tic Tac Toe"-Album and Eminems "Stan" as a single.
Last bought Album must have been the "Yesterday was dramatic - Today is OK" by múm
First record I wanted and bought was Blümchen and then there was, of course, Schlümphenhits Vol.1, 2, 3, 4, ... :)
ReplyDeleteI can't clearly remember my last bought album but I think it was Air,Love and Vitamins - Wolfgang Muthspiel Trio.
Very good song by the way - I really like it, I am always glad to get such good song tipps... thanks.
First record i bought was Four non Blones "Bigger, Faster, Better, More!
ReplyDeleteI can't remeber the second one, maybe it was a sampler.Bbut the last one I bought was Pixies "Wave of Mutiliation - Best of Pixies".
I heard two sons from Ulver, and both are very good and, by the way, I know them both from Taschenbier. Thank you for the great tips!
My very first record was "Pink - M!ssundazstood", still like it :D
ReplyDeleteAnd the last one I bought was "Dresden Dolls - Yes Virginia", also a very good one. But I finally have to get "No Virginia" as well.... (* writing a note to remember it)

ReplyDeleteMy first CD ever was a compilation of 60's hits such as "Surfing Safari" from the Beach Boys and "Let's twist again" from Chubby Checker (7th birthday I think). What followed were some Bravo Hits sampler and of course a couple of Schlümpfe records.
ReplyDeleteThe first "real" record that I wanted was probably "Spice Girls - Spice World", and the first one that I bought from my own money was "Hooray for Boobies" from the Bloodhound Gang (1999).
The last two records were "Angst is not a weltanschauung" by b. fleischmann and "Monoliths and Dimensions" by SUNN O))), both on vinyl.
